Nature of Business:

To assess the viability of Tetra Pak recycling operations equipment for use in Saudi Arabia.

Challenges:

• Communicating in Spanish.
• Assess operating conditions and maintenance of full-scale equipment in use versus information provided from the sales representative.
• Assess whether the equipment would withstand the harsher environment of Saudi Arabia.

Resolution:

• Investigation of equipment use, maintenance, downtime, efficiency and production rates through operators and owner separately.
• Worked with limited English or direct questions through an interpreter.
• Final determination was that the equipment, even sized-up to the end use requirements, would not withstand the harsh operating environment in Saudi Arabia.
